Minor penciling on back cover.. A printed copy of a paper read before the Louisville College of Pharmacy by Conrad Lewis Diehl (1840-1917) during a pharmaceutic meeting at the College. Diehl was a prominent pharmacist of his time, and the paper includes information on how to make some of his more popular and effective elixirs, such as: Elixir of Calisaya Bark, Simple Elixir, Wine of Orange, and Elixir of Pyrophosphate of Iron, Quinia, and Strychnia. 9 pgs. Printed wrappers. String binding. OCLC 1 (February 2021). Measures 9" x 6" The Louisville College of Pharmacy was established in 1870 in Louisville, KY due in large part to Conrad Lewis Diehl (1840-1917) who was known as one of America's most important Pharmacists. Diehl even served as College President for a time. In 1947 it merged with the University of Kentucky, and in 1957 its campus was moved from Louisville to Lexington, and is now known as the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy.
