London: A C Fifield , 1918. Author was at one time travelling tramp who became became a one of the most popular poets of his time socialising Hilaire Belloc and W. B. Yeats, Ezra Pound. This copy the was from standing stock that was released with a new DJ after Jonathan Cape acquired A C Fifield in 1922. CONDITION Grey cloth bds with ruled edges and bright gilt title, 53 pages with untrimmed edged. Copy is bright and crisp as new apart from light paste browning to eps. DJ has wear to spine ends and tips with toned spine and tear at spine heels thaough mostly unworn.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
