Spine has crushing to both ends. Book has forward lean. Unclipped jacket has light edgewear with tears and creasing. Spine is heavily tanned.

Front board shows about a dozen spots of moisture staining. Light bumping and discolorations at spine ends. Textblock edges moderately toned. Contents clean and unmarked. Unclipped "13s. 6d. net" jacket shows light rubbing/soiling, with five <1" closed tears, all tape-repaired on interior. Uncommon speculative fiction title by a prolific yet largely forgotten British author, an ardent feminist and proponent of national socialism. Concerns a community of nuclear war survivors isolated in rural England.
