London, England: Hutchinson & Co, 1936. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. Octavo, 7.5 in. x 5 in., pp. 339, [4], 1-38 (advertising). Inscribed and signed by the author on the title page. Red cloth boards with dark gray title to front and spine. Rubbing to extremities and light soiing to boards; corners nudged. Repair to spine headcap and back gutter. Endpaper maps. Light spotting to first fourteen pages, then very light occasional spotting througout. Spine and hinges tight. Inscription reads: "For Hubert Harvey, with the best of good wishes for 1936."

An early novel by Dennis Wheatley (1897-1977), and the first of his "Lost World" novels. "Dennis Wheatley has conceived one of the most amazing tales since the days of Jules Verne and Wells...boredom vanishes with the wave of Wheatley's magic pen." -Los Angeles Times.
