Description

London: Macmillan, 1932. Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. First edition. Small owner label front pastedown else fine in very near fine dustwrapper a trifle tanned on the spine and with some very light wear. One of the author's best known books, winner of the Hawthornden Prize. Morgan was wildly popular in the 1930's, is considerably less so now. His secular mysticism would probably qualify him as an antecedent of "New Age" literature. The American bookclub edition of this title must qualify as one of the most common literary books of its vintage. This, the true first, in fragile, thin paper jacket, is very much less so.
