The rear panel of the jacket displays a photograph of the author beneath which are excerpts from reviews in three major American papers. The words First Edition do not appear but all the customary printing errors are present, indicating that this is an early issue of the first edition. Half-title leaf not present. Cloth at head of spine a little creased; otherwise a near fine copy in very good price-clipped dust-jacket which is rubbed at the head and foot of its spine, has a couple of short tears at the head of its rear panel; wear at the head and foot of its front flap fold and a horizontal crease at the foot of its front panel.
