The Fountainhead by Rand, Ayn - 1943

Indanapolis: Bobbs-Merrill Company, 1943. Nice copy. Unmarked, tight and square. Her best novel. Grey-blue boards with drk blue lettering to spine and front cover. 2 1/2" light crease near bottom of front cover. Moderate wear at head of spine but not frayed. Price intact jacket ($6.50) places it as approx 1950 printing. I have a very early printing with $3 jacket that is smaller. Book more attractive in the larger size. Jacket has iconic same jacket as first but second issue with 3 reviews on back panel and photo of author. Jacket's red prominence on front panel is bright and fresh but moderately sunned on spine. Only very light edgewear and no chips, tears or creasing. In mylar. . Early Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good Plus to Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
