The text is illustrated with the aforementioned colour reproductions. Black coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Colour illustrated dustwrapper with black and white coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. A look at the 17th century Dutch painter Frans Hals. Rubbing of the back strip edges and to the book corners. There are a few white marks to the front panel with previous owner's name to the top edge of the free front endpaper.
