Munich, Hyperionverlag , [1920], 1920. 1 vol., oblong folio 19-1/4" x 14-1/2", 15 original hand colored Lithographic plates by Grossmann on India Parchment, mounted, coloured by hand, all but one signed by the artist, limited to 50 copies of which this is #19, window mounted and loose in original(?) orange silk portfolio, black morocco spine and corners, morocco label on upper cover "Frauen", from the library of Paul S. Epstein, inscribed on the title-page "Fur Professor Paul S. Epstein, Von Seinem Vetter". Paul Epstein (July 24, 1871 - August 11, 1939) was a German mathematician. He was known for his contributions to number theory, in particular the Epstein zeta function. Individual plates of this portfolio sell from $200-$350. Complete portfolios are SCARCE.
