Entrambi cacciati dal loro Paese dai nazisti e giunti a Parigi nel 1933, entrambi uccisi in missioni di reportage, Robert Capa e David Seymour furono riconosciuti come due dei più grandi fotografi di cronaca e, per forza di cose, "fotografi di guerra". All'inizio della loro carriera, si sono interessati allo stesso soggetto francese: il Fronte Popolare.
