Thix 1941 edition is in wonderful condition, with only one mark noted through the book where a child printed his name on a page. Other than that, the book is wrapped in green cloth, gold gilt print on cover and spine alng with some minor bumping and turning in of end caps. The spine seems alittle loose, but for a book utilized by children, again, it is in great shape. 159 pages with colored illustrations.

Uncommon in this format, and in excellent condition other than what was done to it in FSG's mailroom: a small photocopy of the dustjacket copy proof, with ISBN, publication date, and price, was taped to the inner front cover. Once FSG would get these proofs from Crane Duplicating Service, they'd put an ink stamp on the cover in which they would fill in the price and publication date, which they did here in red ballpoint pen.
