Description

IDB Productions, 2017-01-01. MP3 CD. New. Further Chronicles of Avonlea is a selection of short narratives and comes next to Chronicles of Avonlea. It covers a few tales about the neighborhood of the make believe Canadian town of Avonlea and its province, set in Prince Edward Island.

The novel was released without the approval of L.M. Montgomery, and was created from tales she had chosen not to print in the first novel of Chronicles of Avonlea. Montgomery filed a case against the publishing house, L.C. Page & Co, and was awarded with damages worth $18,000 after a lawful conflict that went on for almost 9 years.

There are lots of characters and happenings in Avonlea, the Home of the Heroine of Green Gables, such as the stories of Aunt Cynthia, The Materializing of Cecil, David Spencer's Daughter, Jane's Baby, The Failure of Robert Monroe, The Return of Hester, The Little Brown Book of Miss Emily, Sara's Way, The Son of Thyra Carewe, The Education of Betty, The Selflessness of Eunice Carr, The Dream Child, The Conscience Case of David Bell, Only a Common Fellow, and finally the story of Tannis of the Flats.

Lucy Maud Montgomery OBE better known as L.M. Montgomery, was a Canadian writer most famous for novel sequels starting with Anne of Green Gables in 1908. The novel turned into majorly popular. Montgomery became widely known for her main heroine, a homeless young girl named Anne Shirley, and made her internationally acclaimed.

The first book was ensued by a number of volumes with Anne as the leading female protagonist. Montgomery continued to circulate 20 books and 530 short tales, 500 verses, and 30 articles. Many of her stories took place in Prince Edward Island, and places in Canada's littlest province came to be a fictional lure and prevalent tourist destination; which was called as the farm of Green Gables, the origin of Prince Edward Island National Park.
