Provenance: From the collection of Montana author, screenwriter, and outdoorsman William Hjortsberg (1941-2017), a central figure in the Montana Gang, and Brautigan's long-time friend and neighbor in Pine Creek. He spent two decades researching and writing Jubilee Hitchhiker: The Life and Times of Richard Brautigan, published in 2012 to great acclaim. Barber A7. One of 700 copies. This copy is Signed & Dated January 15, 1967 by Brautigan. Slight offsetting to rear panel of illustrated wraps. This is one of only 700 copies of this edition which features 9 poems. Originally published by the White Rabbit Press in 1958.

Publisher's red printed wraps, hand-sewn string binding. Second Edition. Very Good, small stain to front wrap, a few more small stains to back wraps. Nice shape overall. A nice association between the singular Brautigan and a California novelist of Spanish and Native American ancestry best-known for his debut Tattoo the Wicked Cross.
