Losses to fore edges and corners. All edges heavily gilt. Scattered foxing. First gathering loose. Complete with 12 striking lithographs by Francis d'Avignon made from daguerreotypes by Matthew Brady of Gen. Zachary Taylor, J.C. Calhoun, Daniel Webster, Silas Wright, Henry Clay, John C. Fremont, John J. Audubon, W.H. Prescott, Gen. Winfield Scott, President Fillmore, William E. Channing and Lewis Cass; some of which bear blind stamp of Brady, D'Avignon & Co. to lower margin.
