Profusely illustrated throughout with photographs on every page by Charles Latham, elaborately designed and decorated head pieces throughout, title-page of Vol. II printed in red and black, frontispieces and vignette title-pages to each volume. Large Folio , beautifully bound in three quarter crushed and polished dark-green morocco, the covers gilt ruled at the joins, the spines with raised bands dyed red, the compartments fully paneled with geometrically designed gilt tooled decorations, two compartments lettered and numbered in gilt, marbled endleaves, a very handsome set. xxiv, 209; xli, [1], 284 pp. A beautiful set, rarely found in such pleasing bindings, very well preserved with only minimal evidence of age or use A BEAUTIFUL SET IN VERY HANDSOME BINDINGS. A magnificent collection of garden views and embellishments, architectural presentations of the most beautiful country houses of England and a brilliant presentation of the garden and its relationship to the home. The most successful of these gardens have been planted and cared for through the centuries to the present time. A tour de force.
