New York: Four Swords Inc, 1970. Softcover. Very Good. Magazine. Folio. 20pp., illustrated with photographs. Tabloid folded as issued. Very good with wear to the edges including some tears. *Gay* was the of the earliest nationally distributed underground gay magazines. It was published by the notorious Al Goldstein from 1969-1974 and edited by the gay activist couple Lige Clarke and Jack Nichols. Along with the latest in gay news, this issues includes an article on a new church created by gay clergy, how to avoid STDs, the anti-homosexual movement in American, and review of the film *Women in Love*, adapted for the screen by Larry Kramer.
