Description

New York: Putnam, 1940. First Edition. Signed presentation copy from Tom Gill, inscribed by the author: “For Rose, The old man just keeps on trying. Always, Tom. Washington, D.C. May 27, ‘40.” Very good lightly used copy in a very good dust jacket with a few small chips and tears. A romantic adventure story set in the Caribbean with crooked politics, gang fights, jungle duels, and flaming romance. The front panel of the dust jacket is a color painting of a handsome young American man wearing a white suit sitting talking to a beautiful young island woman wearing a flower print dress.
