Hardback small, no jacket, good plus condition, red boards (black lettering), figures, few tables, frontispiece, cover corners little bumped, spine little faded, edges lightly foxed, pages & endpapers lightly toned, owner's written name & details inside front cover, minor pencil annotation. 352 pp. Fourth edition (Macmillan, 1926). The author W. W. Watts is professor of Geology, Imperial College. While short and elementary in treatment, it is an accurate account of geology. The many photos and diagrams are a helpful part of the book. Written for school work and for the examinations of the Oxford and Cambridge Schools Examination Board. Of interest to all who are starting to learn about this fascinating subject. (Originally published, 1898, fourth edition, 1923. Written name of Robert Binnie, Indooroopilly.).
