Newark: The Daily Advertiser Office, 1868. Published by the Board of Managers. 899 pages with index, errata at conclusion. Foldout Maps, b/w plates. Color map attached to back inside cover. Brown blindstamped cloth covers with gilt lettering on spine. Covers are very worn and in Fair condition with corners and edges are bumped and rubbed to boards, front joint broken and front cover barely attached to rest of book, water stains and areas of discoloration/damage to cover faces. Spine is discolored from sun exposure, spine ends are bent with tears and fraying. Water stains to interior page edges, interior is browning. Final map has been torn from book, tears to creases and is very fragile. Book in Fair to Good- condition. Scarce.. Cloth. Fair to Good-. Illus. by Foldout Maps, Plates . Size: Approx. 6 3/4" x 10". Description:
Newark, NJ: Daily Advertiser fro The Board of Managers, 1869. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good. First edition. Thick, large octavo hardcover in green cloth woth spine lettered in gilt. xxiv+ 899 pp. with errata list on verso of final leaf. Illustrated with maps, small engravings, charts, drawings, folding plates. A generally tight example, spine lettering bright, some minor light spots to the front cover, some light damping to the upper 1/3 of the rear cover but interior complete and fully intact including all plates. The large geological folding map of New Jersey was apparently never bound into this copy. A very acceptable copy of a book usually found damaged and shaken.
