Limited to 300 copies signed at limitation page by Gershwin and illustrator, Alajalov. Lim. 78/300. Original blue morocco leather with gilt lettering, decorated in the art-deco style, gilt ruled. Blue paper slipcase with loss. Rubbing, chipping at corners. Frontispiece of Gershwin at the piano, along with a variety of full-page illustrations. Depicting words and music of some of the best known American music, such as, Lady be Good, I Got Rhythm, Swanee, and more. Gershwin (1898-1937) was an American composer and pianist. His compositions spanned popular, jazz, and classical genres. He posthumously received a special Pulitzer Prize for his distinguished and enduring contributions to American music.
Includes sheet music in rear pocket for Gershwin's song: Mischa, Yascha, Toscha, Sascha (words by Arthur Francis).
