(1st US) Ex-library with minimal marks to book--none external, dark gray inside covers and adjacent end papers, light blue stamp on reverse of title page, ink no. at bottom of contents page, stamp on final end paper reverse, stamped dates on left side of inside back cover. DJ glossy red with illustration of broken angelic statue on front, praise on back from Julian Symons in The Independent, The Sunday Times, and the Daily Telegraph. DJ has tiny pin dent at middle of front spine indentation, spine very lightly faded. Near Fine DJ/Near Very Good book, considering it is ex-library.
