Condition notes: solid though sunned first volume of first-hand accounts of the American Civil War. An apparent printer's error resulted in the volume lacking a title and copyright page - no evidence of the page having been removed - thus known information about this volume derived only from bibliographic sources is shown in [brackets]. Handsome binding sunned and moderately worn, pronounced to head front board, the brown fading to an attractive purple. Spine ends rolled, corners bumped. Moderate toning and soiling to edges. Binding solid, sound, square. An occasional pencil mark to interior, else unmarked, tanned.
