Green cloth cover with yellow lettering, yellow and blue illustration of aerial combat on front cover. There is wear at corners and head, tail of spine. Yellow on front has some scratches and chips. Binding sound. Gift note in pencil on ffep dated Nov. 1918. Pages otherwise unmarked. Lacking DJ. Author Wellman as an American joined the French Foreign Legion and flew fighter planes in WWI. After the war he was involved in the movie industry as an actor and director. This is his story of his experiences in WWI. ; Photographs. drawings; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 284 pages .
