Red boards with black cloth overlay on the spine with gilt and turquoise lettering on the spine. 146 pp 8vo. This is the story of Faye Edgerton, a missionary to the Navajo Indians (The People) of Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado. Contrary to other missionaries, she encouraged the speaking of Navajo and as a woman who learned the Navajo language, she translated the New Testament into the Navajo language. She also operated a basic medical clinic, taught women to sew, and hauled water with them. A clean very presentable copy.
