London: Sampson Low, Marston & Company, 1930. (Brian Oswald) Donn Byrne (1889-1928) was born in America, but grew up in Ireland and was a native speaker. He was prolific, and his romantic novels became quite popular before his premature death in an automobile accident. This is a Very Good copy of the First Edition. BAL 2312. There is no publication date given, but per COPAC Quercus assigns the date 1930. Much less common than other Byrne titles. Dark blue cloth binding, ruled and titled on the front cover; gilt on the spine. Clean text; 156 pages. Extremely discreet bookseller's label on the FFEP. The dustwrapper is unclipped. Several chips at the folds and spine ends; spine tanned but all lettering still bright. In an archival plastic protector. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. First Edition.. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good Minus. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
