About This Item

MP3 Audio CD. An unusual story about children but not classified as children stories, entails about a vague fantasy in relation to children?s behavior, including scary ghosts. The Golden Scarecrow is distinguished as horror stories of children and their concept on things.

The books present nine short stories of nine children, these light and weird horror tales may be or may not be suitable for children. Hugh Walpole whose middle name is Seymour was believed to be one of the fictional characters of this book, Hugh Seymour, a young boy, clumsy, low spirited, bullied, and imaginative. He was in the opinion of others not attractive nor interesting.

Hugh Seymour?s father, Rev. William Lasher, was the President of the Clinton St. Mary Cricket Club. His stout wife would always say that if he wouldn?t be a clergyman he would be a good engineer and they would have an intelligent son. Seymour also met Mr. Pidgen who visited him, he was more of a funny and brilliant man.

Mr. Pidgen suggested to go for a walk with young Seymour, when they saw a shining, more of like a golden fire in midair. Hugh cried, suggesting it?s only an old Scarecrow. The Scarecrow, waved its torn sleeves in the air. The Scarecrow seemed to be sad for the darkness of the night. The Scarecrow depicts that he is glorious in some other ways that men can appreciate. That night, Mr. Pidgen died in his sleep due to heart failure. He surely had lived a happy life.

The fictional characters in the story book are Henry Fitzgeorge Strether, Ernest Henry, Angelina, Bim Rochester, Nancy Ross, ?Enery, Barbara Flint, Sarah Trefusis, and Young John Scarlet. They are believed to be Mr. Pidgen?s friends.

Sir Hugh Walpole was an English novelist. His father was an Anglican clergyman. He was intended to follow his father?s lead, but he is more interested in writing.
