New York.: Sheed & Ward.. Good with no dust jacket. 1956. Hardcover. 12mo - 18.5 x 12.5 cm.; x - 114 pp. Light gray cloth over boards with green lettering on the spine. A modest and popular author of many books on spirituality, Dom Hubert was a monk at Downside Abbey. When asked if he would like bookstores to give autographing parties, Dom Hubert replied, "God forbid." This book is a collection of a series of articles that appeared in the journal, "Emmauel", during 1954 and the early part of 1955. The library markngs, none of which are external, are a stamp on the title page and attachments on the back end papers. Underlining in ink with some marginalia on pages 2, 3, 10, 11, and 16 to 23. Previous owner's name crossed out on the front free end paper. Aside from that the book is clean with a sound binding. .
