Unpaginated preliminaries including VB's signature leaf, his two-page introduction (short, but a good one), the b&w frontispiece (a thronged doublespread), 505p., a true first edition (simultaneous with the trade publisher's first), hardbound in 9.5x6 inch reconstituted leather boards gilt. Fine copy, with Franklin's trademark bells & whistles: raised bands, all edges gilded, placekeep ribbon, moire' endsheets, Franklin's "Dear Collector" leaflet laid in. As new, absolutely sound, clean and unmarked. Signed first edition society.
