Spine starting to crack near title page, otherwise nice copy. Signature of prior owner on free endpaper. "The father of the modern short story was born at the chateau of Miromensil in the Norman part of France on August 5, 1850. By 1891 he was a wreck, a victim of general paralysis, and in 1892 ws committed to a private asylum, where he passed away the following year." Very Good condition CIA
