About This Item

First Edition. Near Fine, no jacket. Profiles of the members of the Dallas chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Dallas Chapter. GTT stands for Gone to Texas, which is what was on the signs on the houses of people from the East when they moved to Texas in the 1830's and 40's. Privately published by the chapter. Book has the previous owners name on the front end paper and there is a dent in the middle of the spine (not torn). Otherwise the book is in excellent condition.

About mark mcdonald

Book collector for over 30 years. I'm retired and ready to sell. I buy almost exclusively from estate sales and since I've lived in Dallas my whole life, I know the people and where to go. I am a low volume collector and seller and deal in higher quality books. I have a lot of signed and inscribed books. These signatures have not been officially authenticated, but I am confident in their authenticity so I will guarantee them in perpetuity if it can be reasonably demonstrated that the signature is incorrect. .
