Most of the work is in a two column format. No dust jacket present. Previous owner's [Thomas E. and Brenda G. Corbin] bookplate inside the front cover. (Thomas E. Corbin was the great grandson of Private Elbert Corbin--who served in the First New York Light Artillery and participated in the Battle of Gettysburg) This is a follow-up to 1991's highly successful first volume. It should be viewed as a stand-alone publication and included in the guide are articles from five years of six of the most popular Civil War-related magazines and journals, related articles from Military History, and book reviews from Civil War News. Contents include: Foreword by Theodore P. Savas. Preface. How to Use This Guide. Consolidated Subject Index. Civil War Times, Illustrated Mini-Index. List of Articles, By Author. List of Book Reviews, By Author. List of Book Reviews, By Book Title. and Numerical Listing of All Articles, by Magazine title. This volume includes the same periodicals (published from 1991-1995) covered in the earlier volume, as well as three additional publications (The Civil War News book reviews; Civil War Regiments: A Journal of the American Civil War, and American History.) It is almost twice as long as the earlier volume with 58,000 corss-referenced listings.
