This catalogue was produced to accompany the exhibition of work by Gwen and Augustus John held at the Tate Gallery, London from 29 September 2004 to 9 January 2005 which then toured to Cardiff. It assesses the work of both Gwen John (1876-1939) and her brother Augustus (1878-1961) from artistic, biographical and historical perspectives, while also offering key insights into their motivations and methods of working..
