With Annie Dillard's bookplate. Davison's autobiography. He was an accomplished poet--his first book won the Yale Younger Prize--and an influential tastemaker as editor of The Atlantic and at Harcourt Brace (where he stewarded many poets' books to publication, including, for example, Mary Oliver). He grew up among poets (his father was an English professor) and stayed at the center of the contemporary scene.
