About This Item

Germany: Hamberg und Leipzig, 1896 Book. Good. Hardcover. The book is solid, clean and tight with the backed hinged cracked. The title page is lightly chipped and has a three-inch tear along the margin. The cover is in a black cloth around the spine and corners over marbled boards with only light wear though it appears that some professional restoration has been done. The leather spine label is chipped with about 40% missing with about 1/2 dozen letters missing. A piece of the spine label with he letter H is laid inside the front cover. The book contains six plates on heavy boards and a fold-out color plate in the back. In addition, the book contains 19 preliminary pages and 1334 pages..
