The dust wrapper is rubbed & chipped with short tears & pieces out. The rear panel is spotted with a large piece out of its top edge. xxii & 338 pages. There is a piece excised from the top corner of the front endpaper. 7 black-and-white plates, including a frontispiece, & black-and-white illustrations & facsimiles. Good. <p>First edition.
