Hank Greenberg was one of the first Jewish players in major league baseball, and the first in the Hall of Fame; he played in the majors from 1933 to 1947, first with the Detroit Tigers, and one final year with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Greenberg died before he could complete this manuscript; Ira Berkow filled in the gaps.
