Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (a.k.a. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, followed by HP and the Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, etc.) by J.K. Rowling Hardcover First Ted Smart Edition - Second (2nd) Printing Ted Smart 1998. £10.99 cover price with "Joanne Rowling" listed as the copyright holder. Second printing indicated by the printing number-line ending in "2".

Near Fine+/Fine- in Fine- Dust Jacket. A very nice copy. Main shortcomings are two small indents to the upper back board, a touch of reading wear, and the typical toning of the text-block but less than average. The dust jacket is perfect. Still an exceptional copy not often found as such.

SPECIAL NOTE on the Ted Smart editions of Harry Potter: Ted Smart in the UK was a reprint publisher for a time with children's books as one of their focuses. The true first hardcover editions of HP and the Philosopher's Stone and all subsequent Harry Potter books were released by Bloomsbury UK, not Ted Smart. These Ted Smart editions are nice alternatives to some of the early Bloomsbury first printings, such as HP and the Philosopher's Stone which can fetch $35,000+ because of the small print-run. However these are not first editions and should not be labeled as such.
