Author's lengthy inscription to flyleaf; For Christina Foyle / You have been concerned in / so many of my novels that / I thought you might like / to have a copy of this which / is the background to them all / Anyway, I want you to / have it. With my best / wishes as always // Ralph Hammond Innes // December 1959. Book is fine, jacket with some soiling to rear panel. Very good indeed. A remarkable association; Christina Foyle of London bookselling giants W and G Foyle Ltd., was famous for her literary salons and author lunches at Charing Cross Road. She also ran the UK's largest literary book club of the 1960s.

He moved to Kensington Church Street in 1997, and in 2014 Adrian relocated to the historic Hall's Bookshop in Royal Tunbridge Wells, occupying the first floor of this iconic building near The Pantiles area of the town. Hall's remains on the ground floor offering an exceptional range of quality used books.
