Norah Lofts (1904-1983) was a British writer who published over 50 historical romance novels in her long career. She published her first novel in 1936. The sale volume is a sequel to the book Gad's Hall from 1977. Stated first American edition from 1979 with no additional printing listed. Light brown paper boards, bound at spine with dark brown cloth; gold lettering on spine only. Binding tight and square, clean and bright; only flaw is a book label from previous owner and bumping at top and bottom of spine. Unclipped dust jacket is bright and clean, but because of the dark color, every tear and abrasion is visible. Repairs and restorations have been made. 281 pages.
