Philadelphia: Carey & Hart, 1841. Three-Quarter Leather. Collectible; Very Good. 1st US edition, 1841. Contributions from Thackeray, Leigh Hunt, Nimrod, Douglas Jerrold, etc. Handsome 3/4 dark-brown morocco over marbled boards. Gilt-decorated compartments, raised bands. A solid, tightly-bound, VG copy. Light fraying along the hinges and tips and just a bit of scuffing to the spine. Octavo, 370 pgs., beautiful matching marbled endpapers. Internally clean, with only light foxing thruout and one very small, neat former owner inscription to second front endpaper.
