About the author

Tian-Chu Shih (M.L.S., Indiana University; M.A., Northern Michigan University), a medical student in the college of Osteopathic Medicine, Michigan State University, was a professional reference librarian for seven years, most recently as Assistant Head/Database Coordinator for the Social Sciences and Humanities Reference Department, Michigan State University Library. She compiled Library Instruction: A Bibliography, 1975 Through 1985 (McFarland, 1985).
