She wrote her first novel, To Whom She Will, in 1955 and won the Booker Award for Heat and Dust in 1976. The sale item is the stated first American edition from 1976 with full number line. Tan paper boards with red cloth at spine; gold lettering on spine only. Binding tight and square with no flaws except for minor bumping at top and bottom of spine. Unclipped dust jacket has no flaws. The jacket does carry the announcement of the Booker Award. 181 pages.
