About This Item
London: Hutchinson Library Services, 1972. Cloth. Near Fine/Near Fine. 8" by 5.5". None. A very smart reprint of this monster story from English writer H. Rider Haggard. Reprint, originally published 1924. Featuring a legend about a giant gorilla monster in Rhodesia, to which young women are sacrificed, told by Allan Quartermain. Written by Sir Henry Rider Haggard, an English writer of adventure fiction romances set in exotic locations and a pioneer of the lost world literary genre. In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, excellent. Original unclipped dust wrapper is very smart with minor wear to the extremities, light sunning to the spine, and the odd small mark to the rear panel. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with a small mark to the fore edge. Near Fine
