Gilt lettering is darkened. Moderate sunning to spine and edges. Visible wear marks to boards.

Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Light tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Staining to spine and rear board.

Tribute to Yorkshire's rich history and diversity, starting with the Great North Road, complete with highwayman. 384pp with index, illustrated throughout with black and white drawings and fold-out map to rear showing the route taken by the author in his travels around the county. Gilt lettering to top board and spine, top edges gilt. Binding a little slack, spine faded, bumping and rubbing to spine and corners and slight foxing to pastedowns, otherwise good copy with no inscriptions. Map very good..

Octavo/8vo, measures around 8" by 5 5/8" by 1". Dark blue cloth binding, gilt lettering to front board spine, faded on spine. A little marking and scuffing to binding but quite clean and colouring still vivid. Signs of wear, rubbing at edges and on hinges. Book has forward tilt. Some slackness to binding, cracking to front inner hinge and in several places throughout. Page edges browned, scuffed and a bit marked, with slight tanning, though reasonably clean for age. Some marking to endpapers, previous owner inscription and label to front free endpaper. The odd bit of marking to page surfaces but otherwise reasonably clean, no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.
