London: Collins, 1969. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. 8vo. 159pp. First edition. Blue textured paper boards with gilt spine titles. Light bumping at spine heel, three tiny spots of soiling to textblock top, else very near fine. In an unclipped very good (+) jacket with 3 1/3" closed tears along top edge, light soiling top perimeter, and a diagonal crease to front flap. The first British edition of Baker's elusive second book, following 1967's "The Peregrine.

Unless otherwise requested, expedited domestic purchases ship via USPS Priority Mail; overseas orders via USPS First Class International. Heavy or oversized books may incur additional shipping charges, as may books shipped to overseas destinations. Any additional charges required will be communicated promptly.

We take safe shipping very seriously; all of our books are packaged in new cardboard boxes amply cushioned with biodegradable packing peanuts. Pamphlets and other flat materials items are ocassionally shipped in bubble-mailers with internal cardboard supports. All books with dust jackets are fitted with brand new archival protectors prior to shipping.
