Included from the WPA book is a tour following US 41, known as the Dixie Highway, from the Tennessee Line to Allatoona Village. This includes the towns of Ringgold, Tunnel Hill, Dalton (which is in Whitefield County), Resaca, the Oostanaula River, a Statue of Sequoyah, Calhoun, Adairsville, Barnsley Gardens, Cartersville, Friendship Monument (a tribute to "friends and creditors"), Allatoona Dam and Reservoir, Valley View and In The Valley estates, Corra Harris Memorial Chapel (honoring the authoress), Etowah River and Emerson; a tour following US 27 through LaFayette, Trion, Summerville, Berry Schools including Martha Berry School for Girls and Mount Berry School for Boys, the Battey State Hospital, the industrial city of Rome (including action during the War Between the States and Floods, City Clock Tower, the Capitoline Wolf -- a gift from Mussolini, St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Chieftains, Shorter College, Myrtle Hill Cemetery, the Agate Demonstration Project), and Lindale. .
