It is a digital xerographic process on acid-free paper of the author's 1993 Ph.d, thesis from the University of Chicago. x, 264 pages, bib. The dissertation service had almost evey doctoral dissertation since 1861 and was often used by libraries when there was no other way of obtaining a copy of the dissertation. It is bound in bright red library buckram with gilt lettering with the original wrappers bound in. From the personal library of a very avid bibliophile-librarian.
