Good, clean and tight text but with marks at a few page tops from four (removed) paper clips; light soiling at closed page ends; bookplate/blind stamp of former owner; leather over-binding not tucked in well at front edge of head/tail of spine, and leather is scratched at top edge.. Blue cloth/boards, bound in tan leather (not original). No cover illus. or lettering. 1033 pp. with more than 4,000 bw illustrations. World architecture, beginning with prehistoric times and continuing up to the 1930s in the US. Includes architectural ornamentation, the Tree of Architecture, and "The Professor's Dream" illustration. Beautiful bw drawings of architectural components and with bw photos of various buildings, monuments, etc. With plans, maps, and more. Pretty much a classic/Bible for architects.
