Covers very worn with preface and content pages loose but present. Pages 279-294 loosely attached - balance still bound with exception of back end paper. Pages age toned with minimal wear at edges. Minor marginalia. 4½" lower part of backstrip detached from spine with 2/3 of this piece still present. 1 x 1¼" piece of leather cover at front lower left is missing. Personal letter (1966) from previous owner regarding purchase of this book. A RARE work in its original!. First Edition. Leather. Poor. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
