This is #1341 of a Limited First Edition. Book reports that history shows that Gustave Whitehead predated the aerial ventures of the Wright Brothers and thus was first to fly. First Edition. oblong format, 144 pages illustrated with black and white halftone photographs, and a map, original gray cloth, hardcover, good condition (lower right corner of front cover slightly bumped, minor shelf wear to lower spine, not affecting contents which are clean and complete).

This is a unit history, with many photos of the Eastleigh U. S. Navy repair base in England during World War I; its officers and men. There are many photos of early military aircraft, and an essay on "Liberty Twelves" and "DeHavilands."

This Book is a great background and historical publication of the colorful years of Aviation. This Book is in really Good condition despite the Dust Jacket. Dust Jacket could be removed to reveal to sky blue underlying covers. This is a great piece of work by Author C.R. Roseberry with many interesting true stories about aviation. Book has 533 pages and over 300 historical photographs from the time period covered.

This Book was published in 1970, the same year that is listed in the front pages. This Book should be the First Edition, although the frontispiece doesn't specifically state that. This Book describes the content of the diaries of Charles Lindbergh from 1937 to 1945 and contains 1,038 pages. Charles Lindbergh was an American hero who had a lifetime of achievements. This Book contains several sections of photos and is in Very Good condition and well preserved.

Spine is sunned so that the light blue is now grey but the black text of title is clear, spine has a few minor wrinkles, perhaps from age acting on the glue. The front and back covers are flat, clean, bright, no rips, very slightly bent corners, no spine creases, a bit of sunning around all edges. Spine is slightly rounded instead of sharply right angled. Pages edges very slightly sunned. Inside of book is tight, clean, bright, flat. One page dog eared about 1/2 inch, restored flat.
